Has anyone rebuilt their own torque converter and gearbox? Im tempted to buy secondhand, fit that, then rebuild my originals if its possible?

I had a similar issue on my l322 although it was more concentrated on the sill. As said you can get arches now for about £100-£120 a side. I cut all the rot out on the sill and repaired but I will probably put a new set of arches on in a year or two. There is some useful info on this site but...

As above the l322 is a lovely car but if you cannot fix it yourself it will be very expensive. I do all my own repairs. Last year was I think £1500 for parts although there is a everything oil change and a tow bar in that. This year is £1000 In parts so far but I will need tracking and tyres...

Well today I fitted the arnott spring kit and a new set of Monroe rear shocks. The ride quality is the same if not better and the handling is significantly better possibly due to the rear shocks. I will look in to sorting the dash error tomorrow. My kit came with a box to go behind the clock.

That's odd, my one is supposed to be a nt530 but I can't see it written anywhere on it. It sometimes lets you see errors but can't delete them. Sometimes it won't work at all on the D2. It does always work on the l322.

I'm in the process of changing the chassis on my D2. The air bags look a bit perished,rear shocks are warn and the height sensors are very rotten and manky. I'm going to go over to coils.
