From what I've experienced I think you have to drill a whole in this engine to get the EML on. On the K series maybe just a tap on rocker cover will do.

The quickest is to replace ecu and all key barrels which are steering column, driver door, tailgate and fuel cap. That is in time you may find them cheap on Ebay. Order from the dealer would take time I know because I tried to order a spare key. Maybe I am wrong and somebody else has a better...

Don't really remember propshaft is now off to replace bearings and universal joints. But yes the propshaft does seem to work when I removed I had to turn that wheel to get access to bolts.

I think in all cases this are small leds/smds. Therefore, I would bet the check engine one was covered in black mastic or something.

Could not be the meter, can also be the MAP sensor, quite common.
