Progress has stalled sum what, but the little jobs seem to be just as rewarding. Seat belt mounts painted black, belts washed and fitted with some new bolts. Routed some of the cables through the bulkhead for the door light switches. Oh and packed up the original brass\copper radiator to send...

Todays task fit the rear quater glass, armed with new seals, clean glass some fairy and a flat screwdriver! Oh and some googling and youtube watching I realised I need another special tool that I dont have nor can I get one from screwfix grrrr…. Oh well I’ll just have to make one ….google...

New alternator fitted, just need to order the heat shield now

After two attempts the windscreen is in place, plenty of fairy liquid and thicker cord than first thought and hey presto

Next job it to fit the new windscreen

Rear sides fitted along with rear arches

Dash nearly there I’ve ordered a new genuine td5 ignition along with three door barrels will have to change the door handles for the deeper lock td5 ones as well but at least all the locks will be the same.

Galvanised side rails fitted with some stainless bolts, no rust to be seen here sir!

Vent flaps fitted with some stainless steel hindge pins / bolts from SP4x4. Plastered them in ceramic grease first and thread locked the tiny m4 dome nuts each side, there would be nothing worse than a loose flap now would there !

Lower dash cleaned, painted and the outside polished with black wax which to be honest transformed it. Just make sure you wear some latex gloves when your using this stuff.

Apologies for the lack of progress but after another trip on the motorbike to Ireland then a second trip to MedVac a fallen comrade I’m back in my first home (as the wife calls it)

Steering shaft cleaned painted with new UJs, throttle pedal blasted and painted and fitted with stainless fasteners.

Cant wait to get this landy finished if only to stop ordering parts …. I’m starting to worry that Simon the DPD driver is seeing more of my wife than I am …. 😂

New oil cooler hoses loosley fitted.

New one piece braided clutch pipe fitted and bled, I know its not the standard setup but some improvements are required. Plus I co@&ed up and scrapped the old pipes which would have cost £65 just to replace the top steel pipe then another £20 for the flexi hose and steel lower pipe. BRT...

Not that much to report really as I’ve been away over the weekend, but having got home this afternoon I couldn’t keep out of the garage. So handbrake shoes and drum fitted along with the new rear prop shaft and handbrake cable.
