defender 300tdi and on is the same case as disco previous defender front axles had narrower radius arm brackets, if you fit a v8 as lr did right forward the disco/ rrc front prop also fits
damper bracket bolts to any diff housing
park is a pawl locking in a castlated wheel so if theres no solid link to wheels on the ground box will still rotate and you get grinding as you try park you get the same effect with t box in neutral or props off
ive just been reading about decking and apparently unless double sided grooved the grooves go downwards so joints with framework breath,though its all grooves up from what ive seen
quality of parts varies, i find that frequently with well used trucks original clutch did 130k replacement 50k then another 100k or release bearings ,lever etc failing far sooner
