just done exactly that to mine 3 wks ago, new steel modular, tyres and nut with locking nuts too. to replace alloy wheel nuts, 27mm for both, torque up new steels. job done.

anyway chavvybloke, I think the best option on a freebie is 205/80 on steel rims might even be 215/80 a search on google you'll find loads from the ole freelander club and pics of them too

bloody hell mate, thank fook its all ended ok, ish. sounds pretty common, a works van had exactly the same a few weeks ago on the M48, had driven 20 mlles on motorway then off the wheel came. I think I'll be checking mine monthly!!
