Hi all, I know this question is asked alot, but there is conflicting information on the gearbox oil especially. The disco in question is an early model 200tdi, believed to have the LT77 gearbox? I've listed the following: - Diff oil EP80/90 GL4 4 litres - Transfer box EP80/90 GL4 2.7 litre -...

Disco 1 300 rear bumper onto 200tdi - Is wiring the lights a MOT requirement?

Thing is, if you remove them for the MOT there is a gaping hole in the bumper where something is meant to be right? I did think about just sticking black duck tape over them to hide for the MOT, but then whoever is doing the MOT might become suspicious - I don't want to hide or cover up...

Hi all, Swapping out the A-Frame balljoint on my disco 200tdi - I thought removing would always be the major problem here but when it comes to refitting the bolts are struggling to line up and slide in. In regard to bolts these are the ones sliding into the top of the new a frame balljoint...

    Disco 1 200tdi | Bottom of B pillar rust | MOT Fail?

Might have to get someone to weld it up then, I have a welder but don't trust myself if this is structural. What thickness of steel do you think should be required? Thanks

    Disco 1 200tdi | Bottom of B pillar rust | MOT Fail?

Europa, you are saying it's structural? I thought the body didn't depend on the B pillars for integrity some say MOT testers care, some do not.

    Disco 1 200tdi | Bottom of B pillar rust | MOT Fail?

Cold weld, is essentially just plating with a 'wedl stick' and a heat gun to melt the rod, more like soldering than anything - it's in an awkward area.

    Disco 1 200tdi | Bottom of B pillar rust | MOT Fail?

Hi all, My disco 1 200tdi, is starting to form rust at the bottom of the B Pillars, it's visible and looks pretty bad, is this an MOT failure? Instead of welding a plate, could I use a plate and cold weld say 2mm thick steel to patch the holes? As this provides no structural support would this...
