282 miles between Assa and Smara, sounds fun, I don't mind going if that what everyone else wants to do, I'm easy. Don't we need some government paperwork in enter and leave the Western Sahara? Think I've answered my own question, and it's no you dont.

They are good filters for road use, they give better air flow, but they are made of cotton and you have to oil them, they simply clog up with dust, you would have to wash it out with petrol each day and re oil it to be effective, once it clogs up, basically you get black smoke all the time which...

Some people do find the 1.2 box makes them a little sluggish, but if you can increase the power output, the 1.2 is so much nicer, I have 180-190 hp and 500 Lbs of torque with the 1.4 box the truck ran out of gears too quickly. I've got to change the crank pulley and associated front end engine...

My 1.2 TBox added 10% to my range and it made it nicer to drive at speed. I get 440 miles on a tank now.

    Can the Defender TD5 cope.....

I doubt its the remap, a remap in real terms is a couple of lines of corrected code instructing the injectors to deliver fuel a fraction of a second early to create more HP and again once the piston has reached the highest stroke level to deliver a tiny bit of more fuel to create more torque...
