Defender 90 Sadly selling my 90

£10k, and you wont chuck the fridge in???? Or the broken CB???? Bit tight, I'd start to wonder what else you'd been tight with on the rebuild you did. Take the fridge bit out of the ad mate.

Thinking about swapping my 90 for a 110

Or just buy a 110 double cab that had lots done to it, by a anal retentive owner that replaces parts even if they are not needing it. They are out there, never cheap initially, but works out cheaper in the long run.

Thinking about swapping my 90 for a 110

I dunno if the 90 is worth more, sometimes they are, sometimes not, also depends on what the 110 double cab has been used for in the past, some of the ones I looked at before I bought my black one, had been worked pretty hard, I also struggled to find double cabs to view last year. Seems they...

TD5 03 couple of oil leaks + water

The 15p doesn't suffer the same issues of oil going up the loom quite as much as the older 10p engine, that looks more like a, the oil pic looks more like a silicone seal gone, and the oil / diesel capillary's up the inside of the insulation until it terminates at the ECU red plug and...

TD5 03 couple of oil leaks + water

See the hole inside the inner seal at the 5-6 oclock position, that lines up with the hole that goes through the webbing in the casting above, the water pump sits behind the power steering pump and is driven by the pump, so effectively faces the rear of the engine, it;s actually a good design...

TD5 03 couple of oil leaks + water

If your EGR is going through a shiny stanless steel heat exchanger bolted to the front of the engine, I think that is what your trying to describe, leave it in place with the coolant pipes attached when you remove the EGR valve, I made up a couple of steel plates just to keep it clean but you...

TD5 03 couple of oil leaks + water

If those webbings are getting coolant in, see the hole in the middle? That's the weep hole for the water pump which is fitted behind the power steering pump. The weep hole is there to indicate that the pump seal has possibly failed and allows water up through that hole to tell you. A bit of...

Wild bear stuff is fine, OME are as good, all fine. I have factory stock Land Rover shocks on the front and now Bilstein gas on the rears and heavy duty springs, even the helper ones on the rear are all standard ride height, for one reason, to lift any Defender, tdi, Td5 or Puma they often...

I was in the kind of same situation, bought my current Defender to take to Morocco. So I will list what I did to prepare mine Where ever possible I use genuine LR parts or parts marked OEM, as a rule don't buy cheap pattern parts, as you don't want stuff failing out in the sand pit. New discs...

Advice needed on purchasing a Landy

I think you just have to judge what is in front of you when looking at MOD Land Rovers, some are good, some are in a shocking state, with parts harvested. MOD are getting shot of the 90's and I have seen a couple of clean 300tdi 90's on eBay over the last few months listed at around 5-6k.

No snow in Suffolk, hardly ever snows here as it's too flat and below sea level, 3c but was blue skies and sunny for a while, just bought one of those petrol Coleman stoves of the bay of E, got to be easier than all those gas canisters and gas stoves I took last time.

Those STT's I used last year are still in great shape with 15mm of tread, only taking one spare this time, as tire technology has improved so I'm hoping one spare will do.It's my theory anyway, I do have a repair kit though to plug tires.
