that's the kind of idea i have'see i'm fitting internal security grill's on the rear window's and as we all know there's alot of wasted space above the load cover that can be used so i want to try and utilise it if i can.

sam,jack the car up as high as you can'put some good axle stands under the chassis then lower it down so your front axle drops as far as poss you will then be able to slide the new pipe in from underneath and twist it up to meet with the manifold,thats how i fitted mine ;)
