What has happened to John Craddock Limited

It's a crying shame. I thought they'd be brilliant. I'm sure I have used them before without a problem. Something has definitely gone wrong. Just had a reply (could be that I'm posting on social media about the issue) stating now that it's out of stock and due in within a few days. Sadly...

    Td5 Engine Light ??

It turned out to be the starter solenoid! The alarm issues were a red herring and resulted from having the door open and switching fob batteries etc so had confused the immobiliser. The random start after changing a battery had led me to think the starter was ok.

What has happened to John Craddock Limited

I don't like to criticise a supplier but in this case I am making an exception. This post is truthful, factual and not libelous. John Craddock website advertised a swing away wheel carrier and clearly stated it was in stock. I thought Craddock had been around long enough for it to be safe to...

    Td5 Engine Light ??

@Shifty1962 Cheers for that, mine has a random stating issue. I shall try another battery. Just bought two, fitted a new one and it worked once. Maybe the batteries are from old stock! #Landrover #random ;-)

    Defender TD5 not Cranking

I have a 2004 TD5 110. She has always started on the button until recently. Flat battery etc so after a few days on a trickle charger she was fine again. Having had a gearbox swap I needed to setup the diff lock linkage and install a new switch. Then needed to start her up to move her and...

    Rear door window

Sorry for late reply, I don't think they forgot. I told them I wanted it and was asked if I wanted it fitted. It never happened.

    Rear door window

Being relatively new to defender maintenance I put My td5 into a Hull based Defender customisation garage. The rear door was changed when the car was resprayed. The door has two joins in the skin so assume this is a pre 2002 style door. The glass was also changed without my permission losing...

    Rear door window

Have seen two window fixing methods. One using bonding and aluminium alloy strips, the other using a rubber seal. is this because the doors and or windows are different?

Tie bar and Cross Rod Mounting Bracket

Did as you suggested, nightmare! Had a 10-pound hammer to get it started, would the nut tight again, loosened it, belted the tail end again and so on, got some movement going so kept pulling it through via the nut then knocking it back again with the nut loosened. Got enough sticking out to...

Has an Alpine HU and speakers, Thatcham class 1 alarm fitted, has the full soundproof matting in the front and somebody had fitted Exmoor trim seats so teh foams...

Next was one of my current ones, a 2004 TD5 110 Had the usual issues, tired back axle, clutch, slave, tyres were all in poor shape, more damaged than worn, new injector harness (oil in ECU plug). She has had a respray (didn't like the matt black roof, bonnet and arches). Previous owner had...

My first Defender was a 1986 90 (2.5 petrol) Bought her and had a nightmare drive home using the choke to drive it! Bodywork and chassis were fantastic. Sold her in 2007 for £1200 with a full length roof rack. #regret

Tie bar and Cross Rod Mounting Bracket

Recently decided to remove the Stone guard on a TD5 110, for a clean up and repaint. The bolts were a pain to remove but the Mounting Bracket for the Tie bar and Cross Rod had one bolt completely seized. The nut backed off so far, then jammed, So, cut the head of the bolt off (see photo)...
