Strange,just reweighed one of the wheels and tyres in my shed(16" alloy /225 55 16 wrangler hp) and its just below 22Kilo.

The chassis number is on a plate on the passenger side door post.The wheels without dimples will not fit(they will if your brake pads are worn but you will be in trouble when you fit new pads)because the calliper moves out and catches the wheel.

If the wheels have dimples between the bolt holes they will fit ,a friend has an early 2001 and his wheels wont fit my 2005 .

Wheels from a freelander before 2001 will not fit your car ,the larger callipers fitted after 2001 make contact with the spokes on the wheels,I believe the offsets are the same its the thickness of the spokes that is the problem.Steel wheels from any year will fit,dont know what the offset is...

You cant bend the crankshaft:confused: but it is possible to damage the input shaft bearing on the gearbox if you allow it to take the weight of the gearbox as you remove it.
