The key just turns round and round,i'll have to strip the door and have a look.The fob works fine but,like i say the immobiliser doesn't flash.

When i lock or unlock my disco 2 v8,the imobiliser light doesn't flash.It doesn't flash at all,does this mean the imobiliser is turned off.I'm trying to program a new key fob,i need the imobiliser to be working or i can't match the new fob.Is it possible the imobiliser is turned off.

Iv'e got a good fob,i just wouldn't mind a spare one.You know,just incase.Can you buy a fob and get it matched to your landrover,that would be good.

Iv'e found the old reg,and iv'e got my vin number.I need a spair fob,could i get one from a landrover dealer.

I couldn't open the bonnet,i couldn't get in it to open anything.It's all in the posts above,it's got to be a caravan socket or it won't work.

Sorted,i used the pins off an old trailer plug.Connected my charger to the wires,took about 15 sec to open.Cheers lads.

I think that's the safest way to go,when i do get it open i wont be letting it go flat again.

My charger's only 4-8 amp.So is there a constant live on the tow socket,i think theres two tow sockets on my landy i presume one's for a caravan and one for a trailor.I need more info on this,good idea.
