With the engine ecu completely disconnected it stopped the clicking (I did that test before my above post so I’m not sure what all the horn and washer motor stuff it about now though)

Something to add that I noticed while it makes the clicking in the injection pump, is that there is also this kind of fluid squirting/moving noise that is in time with the clicking. This of course makes me think the same - that it must be the stop solenoid, as what the hell else could not only...

I have already disconnected the stop solenoid back in my original testing (number 5 on my “additional additional” info) and it didn’t seem to make a difference, something else in the injection pump must be clicking? As far as I know the pumps have some other internal solenoid? I can test again...

I removed the ECM, turned the key and no clicking… looks like we need an ecm. I’m going to have dinner now

Is it safe to do this? It won’t descyc the BECM and ECM will it? As I don’t have the diagnostic equipment to resync

And to add, no clicking can now be heard from any other device - the only clicking is from the injection pump area.

OK, so - here we are. Please see the video below: To recap: All relays except 19 are removed. Alternator wires are disconnected. Rhythmic clicking can be heard around injection pump area, this clicking stops when fuse 37 or relay 19 are removed.
