Had me confused then. I'm only changing the inter cooler. It was the actual over flow / expansion pipe I broke, the spigot on the rad is ok thankfully!

Ordered an intercooler. And ....... finally given in and ordered a Nanocom at least I can take some of the guess work out of things then. Also managed to snap the coolant expansion pipe from the rad to the bottle (brilliant) so ordered one of those too ! Hey ho.

Thanks. Yes vacuum pump is still there and connected (that is the pipe that I change the hose from the control unit yesterday) Took Intercooler out and it been leaking for a while. Thick oily gunge all around bottom left corner (as viewed from front) Will order a replacement as not worth...

I will go back to tank pump as soon as I have time to do it. Just wandered if as a temporary measure whilst I use car for next few weeks, that a better aftermarket pump would at least give it some improvement.
