Hi, just replaced my inline strainer and have been looking at diagrams of my Carb, is the circled part on the picture a strainer housing and if so is there a part number for the strainer.

I had joined a couple of series owners groups on facebook and had had a couple of comments saying what a nice series 2a I had, got a bit confused as it's a 3, turns out it has a 2a Grille on the front, is there anywhere that sells original series 3 Grilles or will I have to go second hand.

My front drivers side outer wheel hub seems to have a bit of oil surrounding it, been looking through the Haynes manual and its giving a few suggestions, anyone had this happen and is it easy to repair.

Afternoon all, I've noticed my revs sit quite high at idle, I think the springs in the pictures might need changing as once I lift the throttle linkage it idles perfectly, anyone else had a problem like this that knows what to do ?

I thought it might be on it's way out as I had trouble starting it, seems to be a lack of fuel, the engine is turning over and it's getting a spark, I sprayed a bit of easy start in the carb and I caught instantly, I've already changed the inline fuel filter as it looked like it had been on...

I pumped it on the engine, no resistance at all.

Morning all, has anyone had to overhaul the fuel pump on a petrol 2 1/4, I think mine is on it's way out, tried pumping it using the lever and it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Yeah, the original oil bath filter, done an oil change on it in the summer, quite dirty inside. I've looked at radiator muffs, might give one a try.

I have a series 3 109, built in 71 and completely original, it is tax and MOT exempt, what do I have to do annually to keep it registered as exempt, I have read about the v112 form but there seems to be conflicting advice on the internet.

I have been looking to replace the rubber seals on my Alpine windows, all I can seem to find is kits that come as a length of rubber with filler, is there actually a proper seal for the job or is this the way its always been replaced.
