Looks like a good truck but I have to agree.... looks overpriced. I've just sold a '54 plate 90 H/T Td5 for less than your asking for yours, it was in perfect condition, not 'messes about with' either, that can drop the price because most people just won't look at something that's been lifted...

I removed the cat and EGR valve, any more than that seemed to get very expensive for little gain, I don't tend to keep something more than a year or so either so decided agains a stage 2. Hope it goes ok anyway mate

Hi Loz, yep, my mileage improved by about 3 mpg on average, feels much smoother and a better drive, I've just bought another td5 and it won't be long before I get that one done too. Go for it!

Roughly how long will it be before rust starts to show through and look tatty on steel modulars? Are some better than others?

Cheers BGB, and thanks for being 'nice' and not shouting too much! I think i'll stick to 265/75/16's, I've found a local guy with some Kumho's so I'll be getting them fitted on Monday. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks Lowlight, I must admit I was expecting a bit of a telling off! I know tyre questions are a bit of a taboo subject to bring up on here but advice is sometimes important even if its been covered before. I did do searches but there didn't seem to be a definitive answer, not that I could...

yep, ta, just wondered what's the biggest tyre that'll fit a standard 90 without rubbing either on the arches or lock stops (I know theyre are adjustable to a certain extent) 255/85/16 fill them vertically nicely but that limits it to Bfg's mud terrain, 285 fill the arch the other way, 265's...

As above, I'm buying some new wheels/tyres in the next few days, I like the idea of 255/85/16's for a std height 90, but will they rub? Yes, I've done searches!!

I think Silverline have an exclusive deal with Twisted on those, they still do a similar one called MaxTrac Sport, the spokes are not as 'recessed' if that makes sense
