    Col, thanks for that. I had tried to contact DVLA to clarify but, what with poor phonelines, waiting times and an online Bot that seems not to understand any statement in English, I felt I was banging my head off a brick wall!!

    My Series 3 reached its 40th birthday on 29th April 2021. However the way I read the regs is that I cannot claim for MoT and RFL exemption until next year as the car has to be 40yo at the start of the year. Am I correct in my reading of this???
