    Thought this was a known fault and indeed recalls for 2007 - 2009 FL2's?? Also believe 2010 onward FL2's have the "replacement" rear diffs as standard. I really should have kept the links to the info I found on researching our 2010 FL2 :rolleyes:

    110 TD5 intermittent hesitation

    Injector seal failure may also dump deisel into your oil. So rising oil level and or smell of deisel on dipstick. Can't think of any other symptoms at the mo :(

    Could you clarify this bit ^^^^^^^^^ It doesn't make much sense as the ECU and infamous red plug are normally both under the drivers seat. Unless a harness extension has been fitted. Also its the injector loom that is under the rocker cover. If I recall correctly the Disco TD5 has the ECU...

    2000 D2 TD5 Manual, Gearbox oil everywhere!

    Sounds like you'll be needing some 75W-90R Possibly too hard and fast drive for too long is the problem...... you may need to remove and reseal the Tbox sump plate depending where the leak is. Best way to find the leak is thorough degrease and short drive. The "different" smell could just be...
