    P38A Schraeder valves

Did the same as Datatek and ran around for about a fortnight including a 250 mile journey home on them. The valve cores I used were 6mm after stripping off the rubber so I used a 6mm compression fitting and a push on connector to connect to the pipes that run from the air bags to the valve...

Range rover L322 brakes locking up

Just wondering if anyone ever got to the bottom of this one. I haven't even got an L322 but wonder what the problem was:rolleyes:. Sad, I know. No doubt this isn't the fix but once on my ancient Wolseley 4/44 then again more recently on my Triumph Bonneville I had exactly the same issue and it...

L322 Golden Girl's wheel arch job

Been doing this sort of thing for so long and I wonder what is the most effective way to stop the rot from coming back, or better still coming in the first place. Years ago Waxoil was said to be the way to go and I pumped loads of the stuff into a cavity (new inner and outer sills) of my Austin...

    Height sensor guards

New bracket and guard for the OSF arrived yesterday, about £45 total including postage. I used them as a pattern to fabricate the same for the NSF which is much easier to get to. The brackets are the same but the cover/ guard is the handed. Didn't have a bean can handy so I made the cover out of...

    Height sensor guards

. Great minds.............I splashed out on a new bracket and heat shield for the off side. I suppose the greatest danger of heat damage would be when stuck in slow moving traffic. Might try and patch the other side up but I don't think it does much on the diesel.

    Height sensor guards

The front height sensor covers / guards on my P38 have just about disintegrated. in fact the last time I took the sensors off I just left the guards off to be fabricated or bought at a later date. The road to hell was paved with good intentions and of course I never got round to it. Are they...

    Not another EAS question

I like happy endings and fear that if I plug it in again it will all end in tears. :(. The heights are all within a couple of mm measuring from the wheel arches but I'll give it a few days and check it again to see if I can get it a bit closer. I still haven't found the original fault which...

    Not another EAS question

At last I managed to get a consistent good idle. As suggested in this post the problem seems to have been drivers. I disabled the automatic Windows update and downloaded the driver that came with the unlock suite. Did this several times before but for some reason it works now. Tweaked the OSR...

    Not another EAS question

I would be deliriously happy if I could just get the computers to stop sulking and talk to each other in a civilised manner. Tried again today after reloading drivers and checking OBD connections. I get good idle for about 20 seconds then the RX column goes all to rat's s&!t. I have a Grandson...

    Not another EAS question

Suspect it's the latter. The readings are from the heights tag. The car is sitting more or less where it always is on the standard height with just the OSR a touch higher, hardly noticeable without the use of a tape measure. I tried to get a set of readings at all heights but kept losing the...

    Not another EAS question

Ok, I've gone off the L322 idea so old Reggie the P38 Rangie is safe for the minute. Still fiddling with the RSW unlock suite and still strange happenings. My Heights according to the RSW are: NSF 185, OSF 159, NSR 191, OSR 105. Yet the OSR is actually 10 mm higher than the others. Looks like a...

    P38 Headlining

An ancient thread but still very relevant. I did my Jag last year but chickened out of doing the gluing. I removed the 'Biscuit' as it's called and gave it and the Martrim kit to an upholsterer to do the sticky business. P38 has needed doing for about 5 years and a DIY job is planned for Spring.

    Not another EAS question

I've had this car for 16 years now and managed to survive all the usual P38 traumas without having to resort to a visit to the professionals. I'm hoping, maybe naively that the L322 will be similar. Maybe be able to reset EAS and suchlike with an icarsoft or similar? When I decided to change my...

    Not another EAS question

Latest Update. I fiddled with com ports and drivers and at last nice healthy FFs in the RX column. I think the problem might've been too high a number com port and maybe the wrong driver. Wouldn't swear to it because computers are still black magic to me. If they had pulleys and grease nipples I...

    Not another EAS question

Sorry Lads n lasses but I'm afraid it is. Trying to get the RSW EAS Reset suite to communicate with my 1998 P.38 DSE I'm getting some strange figures in the return column. I managed somehow to reset the system but can't get a good idle . Tried different Com Ports and 2 different laptops, one...

    New old Member

Hi All and greetings from a very cold and frosty Northumberland. I was a member of this forum many years ago when it first started but being of a certain age I've forgotten all my details so it's easier to start again. Still a Land Rover fanatic and still running a P38 although after 15 years of...
