Hello ALL. As it goes, I opted for a complete new drive shaft. going to do a full synopsis on the old one. On the plus side, the new one hasn't got the click, click, click, and odd steering feel on left turn. So, all is good. I forget the old Girl is almost 18yrs old. still starts on the button...

The shaft its self does not seem to be moving in and out of the yard, as there is no oil loss. Also, when trying to turn the shaft it feels locked in. It's just that by you pull it in and out, and the inner boot will extend. Cheers.

Sorry, it is the right hand, drivers side. As I say, the shaft will move in and out and the bits in CV boot are loose. I have not dis, assembled the inner joint. Thanks for your time. Gary.

Hello all. No success I'm afraid. The shaft has not come out of the box, so no loss of oil. So I stripped it down and the shaft will just move in and out, but not stay put. Had a feel of the inner boot and theres some bits in there moving around. I take the inner cv joint has come apart...

No not sure. So. Can I achieve this without a total strip down? My idea having read your post, was undo the hub nut and lightly give the shaft a go with air punch to settle it in. Open to suggestions. Thanks.

Hello all. Changed the cv boot on the drivers side today. The drive shaft slipped out of the gearbox end, but managed to get it back in. Re_ assembled it all and torque the hub nut etc. The problem I have is when going through the gears the gear stick vibrates and wobbles, as does the...

Did the same a few months ago. Turned out to be the small spade connector needed the crud cleaning off it to make a decent connection. Once disturbed and refitted it would seem not exactly in the same position.

Hi Andy. As it goes, a Numty on this subject. If I have it right, are you saying you can change the tank straps/supports with out dropping the rear stuff? Cos, this is a job I'm looking to do soon. Sorry to bother you with asking for further clarification, but if so, areally great find. Cheers.
