Washers are from Williams LR main dealer, heads not cracked and seat's were damaged but now flat after the Mechanic used the seat tool on them.

Hello again, Has anyone ever annealed the copper washers before fitting them? The reason I ask is I can't get them to sit properly on the seat.. Now on my fourth set of washers Ummmm

Good Afternoon, By way of an update; they managed to clean the injector tunnel seats and have fitted the new seals/washers, the engine did start and does run (in the workshop) but its very very smokey, would you say this is normal after an injector seal change?

Morning yes Land Rover parts department. Will make sure he's (The mechanic) has drained the cylinders. Thanks, He was saying the seat area had built up lots of burnt fuel and they wasn't seating properly.

Yea Ive asked them to check that and they say its deffo not cracked 100%..its just the Injector wont sit properly on the aluminium as it's pitted

Good afternoon, New set of seals ordered, unfortunately they are not sealing properly resulting in the cylinder filling with fuel, tried to clean where the injector sits (seat) but no avail.. Do they sell an oversized copper washer to crush down or is it a new cylinder head?

Hello, My TD5 keeps stalling and then won't start again, will start eventually but will only drive for about 5 mins. The fuel pump is 2 year's old and middle range from jgs4x4 and very noisy. Hello again, Was wondering if anyone knew if I removed my EGR and blanked off before I drive the 1hr 45mins over to Alive Tuning for my remap that the TD5 engine/ECU wouldn't know what was going on and put me in limp mode.

I bought mine from jgs4x4 about 80 I think inclusive.. It's noisy but works just fine.

Thanks so much for the new answers, as soon as my ALLI intercooler arrives I'll fit it and make my mind up what to do.. Cheers
