    Repairing a green Lane

I didn't ..... However repairing a green lane/unsurfaced byway is a little more involved than dumping a load of **** that you want rid of on it . Tipping hardcore/old plaster can be something of an enviromental mess and look visually **** . IF the local council highways department are...

    Repairing a green Lane

All the more reason not to go tipping your rubbish in it then ..... Get in touch with your local rights of way officer OR GLASS rep and let them know of the damage ...repairing damaged lanes is a great sentiment BUT A. it needs to be done properly B. it tends to be fraught with red tape

What to do with my 109

Oh I'm sorry was, mine not constructive enough lol? Thing is ex military landies are still ten a penny (Well maybe not a penny) but there are plenty to choose from, so making one a, bit more suited to your own useage isn't really a biggie. Personally like I said above I'd keep to making any...

What to do with my 109

Ohhhh come on now Walmart..... it's a series landrover not a one of a kind bugatti royale. There are still plenty to go at out there. Now when I drag that daft thing with the steering wheel in the middle out of the garage and stick a TDI in it... That will be a big improvement ;-)

What to do with my 109

As above it's your landrover so do as you please with it .... My FFR get used for camping duties on a regular basis and is standard barring a set of 900's on wolf rims ....It's still all 24v (Far superior system) and the radio batteries run an inverter via a voltage dropper . Dogs go in the...

Series 2 OK help me choose - to modify or not!

IF you are going to be using it a fair bit pretty much tick all the boxes in the poll.... A good all synchro box Is much nicer to drive than the s2 dog box.... Heated screens make things a heap nicer on damp mornings (they only tend to break if badly fitted) Heated rear screen is a nice touch...

1965 Series 2a Station Wagon in Holland

Because the 19j it was fitted with was a pile of steaming dog poo.... However even IF had still been a 2 1/4 in still be fitting a tdi... The mileages it will be doing mean that late 30's to a gallon is a no brainer. Nothing wrong with a 2 1/4 as such though my two FFR's will be staying as...

1965 Series 2a Station Wagon in Holland

At least being a 2 the chassis should be a lot more solid than anything series 3 flavoured (had to do a heap more chassis work to my s3 FFR) Once you chased the rust out of the bulkhead it's well worth it ;-)

1965 Series 2a Station Wagon in Holland

Think most 3's had them... They run of the crappy butterfly arrangement on the inlet (night mare to get set up right AND prone to issuing clouds of smoke and not much vacuum) My StaWag came with a 19j already fitted so had a vac pump fitted... Same with the 300... Plenty of electric vac pumps...
