Oil in the Red plug usually cause rough running. Clean it out by all means but it prob won't make a difference. I needed injector seals changed a month or so ago. It ran fine, only issue was with starting (no cutting out whilst running though)

I'd say it's a coincidence! Deal with the lights if/when they come back. Start with diagnostics/code reader then.

You'll need the lights reset AND drive up the road before they go out (abs in particular)

I bought Genuine from a LR dealer on line- (Matford LR I think) much cheaper than my local dealer. Go genuine but shop around! It is a pig to do (did mine myself) so I'd advise NOT trying to fiddle and fix, replace it and do it only once!!

As an alternative, what about the proximity switches, such as alarm systems use for doors and windows etc? EDIT; Sorry, I was still on page one when I replied!

Unscrew the bottom sensor and "some" diesel will come out. Then unscrew the filter, which will still have some in it too (just tip it out). I use an old plastic bin, but you'll only lose a litre or so. Then, before screwing the new filter in, just pour some diesel in the top from a fuel can...

New stake nuts I bought (oem from LR garage) were same size as what came off. I bond-loc'd the hubs onto the shafts rather than coppaslip! Total opposite?!

Bigger puller the better. The set of 4 they do has an 8". I broke a cheaper 6" first time round!

I bought two cheap ones from JGS. One leaked (diff oil onto brakes) within a year but was changed without any hassle (foc postage etc). Had them a couple of years now with no other issues.

Or a new hub?!

My back windows played up and it was the switches in the centre console. No good giving a quick clean, they needed stripping down to the contacts and giving a complete overhaul! (nearly took 5 minutes!) Hope yours is that simple...

Can't quite see your logic in associating the issues with you air suspension? That could have problems of its own, but don't see the connection.

I thought (after an ABS fault) you needed to get up to a certain road speed after the codes were deleted/reset before the lights went out. Pretty sure mine did.
