    TD and kenlowe fan

Hi Yoshi, Fitted a Kenlowe to my 2.5TD about 18 mths ago. I also fitted an Allard intercooler and lagged the exhaust manifold and down pipe. I was hoping to get better mpg from every mod but apart from about a 10% increase (about 2.5 mpg) what I got was more power, power, power... Now pulls...

    2.5 Td - Intercooler Fitting ??? Help

Hi Garse, As with wunntenn I have fitted an Allard intercooler to my recently reconditioned 19J. The difference is unbelieveable. Pulls like a train. Trouble is you tend to accelerate faster rather than gain any increase in fuel economy. Six people in it and it'll still accelerate uphill...

    Propshaft problem

Have solved thi one now. the fact that the front prop moved a quarter turn was OK as the handbrake only works on the rear prop if diff lock isn't on. The problem was that the rear propshaft had seized solid and would not lengthen as the rar axle dropped. This casued the UJ near the rear axle to...

    2.5td loss of power

First thing I checked was the breather pipe but that only runs from the top of the tank to the neck of the filler pipe letting out the air as the fuel goes in. The tank becomes pressurised by fuel which should be going to the cylinders under pressure leaks passed this little diaphragm in the...

    Propshaft problem

Hi Grunt, Yep handbrake was on when I checked both props. Even though this has happened it went quite happily up a 1 in 3 lane with 5 people in it but vibrates like hell when not loaded on the road.

    Propshaft problem

My 2.5TD 90 started to judder on putting on the power at 35 - 40 mph. After having a good look around underneath I found that the front propshaft could be turned about a quarter turn when stood still while the rear prop was rock solid. I assume that the rear prop was acting correctly and its the...

    2.5td loss of power

Happened to my 2.5TD a couple of months ago but it had been happenning very gradually for the previous 6 months but I got used to it being slower. At about 50 mph in top gear, put your foot on the pedal and it would start to cut out but revived on lifting your foot off. The remedy was a rubber...
