My d2 airbags won’t inflate on the left side even if I do it manually with nanocom but if I swap the plugs around then the left will inflate and the right won’t. I’ve already replaced the the pump and the bit the plugs go into. No faults shown. Anyone got any idea

Hmm must just been a coincidence then it has been down on power and drinking fuel before hand seems to bog down between 2-3k revs boost readings are all good thought and I’ve changed the maf(which was faulty)and injector Loom. still behaves the same

As I learnt There are a few different types of fuse boxes if the codes don’t match it might not work could be the same for the bcu too but I’m not sure on that. If all the codes match then I believe the Instrument cluster is also part of the system that connect the ecu to the bcu so maybe look...

Do all the parts you changed have matching part numbers to the ones you removed ? And is the bcu coded to the correct gearbox type?

Have you changed both fuse boxes ?

if it’s a easy fix then I will definitely do it but gearbox out is not worth doing on this truck it’s been beaten up got no mot and the chassis is on its way out I will take a look on the Ashcroft website thanks

So basically I used the key from another disco that was still paired to the bcu to unlock the immobiliser which then allowed me to sync the ecu to the bcu.

I did have to learn the security code but the car wasn’t allowed me to do it for some reason so I dig out the old key fob from the disco I removed the bcu from pressed the unlock button which then allowed me to learn the security code with the nanocom Now it starts no problem

It shows it’s in drive on the dash

Problem solved Engine bay fuse box and bcu where both faulty used the key from the car I removed the bcu from to de immobilise and then I all worked fine

I’m sure this has already been answered somewhere but my d2 auto has no forward gears I can only assume this is the clutch packs which would not be worth replacing on the vehicle unfortunately. Is there anything else it could be before is strip the car down for parts

It’s definitely immobilised got hazards and horn going off should I be able to communicate with the ecu while it’s immobilised then?? Because it’s like the ecu is blocking me from communicating milage on dash drops to 0 when I try to connect with nanocom then returns to normal when I stop trying...

I’ve got the factory key with remote central ive got the electrical problems fixed by replacing engine bay fuse box so should I swap the original bcu and internal fuse box back in then will the key fob take the immobiliser off ??

I have what should be the correct key should that not remove the immobiliser?

I believe I’ve now fixed that problem by replacing the engine bay fuse box. Now I need to get the immobiliser off and I don’t have the code is there any way to do that ?

D2 been sitting for 2 years. When I first went to start the alternator started smoking so I swapped that out then no crank and electrical problems like no locks or indicators so I’ve checked the ecu on another truck And that’s all good replace the internal fuse box and bcu from a working truck...

That’s what I’m thinking for the abs module it’s going to look a little weird but will have to do I think
