    dieseldog69 thanks for the reply, which fittings did you use on the braided hose as this sounds like a great idea, did you use screw on fittings for the pump? the pump I have received is just the plain push on fitting with a clamp/jubilee clip

    I am using heat and and scraper to get the majority of the mastic off and finishing with some brake cleaner - works a treat, bit over the top but at least I know it will be done correct.
