The Black box does come apart, it happened accidentally when I was taking off the connectors so that's not a problem, ill look for the thread. One of the yellow relays has something to do with the windows then? OK ill look that up in the manual. Thanks for the help so far :) Ian

Thanks for replies/ I disconnected the switches and the windows are still lowering. Disconnect the ECU/control box and all is OK except of course I cannot lower and raise the windows. The ECU/control box got damp last year thru water coming in via the wiring, I dried it it out fully and it...

Work done on the 300 tdi, I took off the old Downpipe with catalyst - flexy was leaking bad, fiddle getting it off. OK read the manual mmm - next step.......... Had to go and buy a decent 3 tonne jack from machine mart, nice piece of kit, bloody heavy though, did the job of getting axle...

Looks like the unit is goosed as there is no movement on the screen no code or wait, it is showing what looks like a frequency or time but its locked and no way its moving and no sound. if they are not the best i'll take the modern one out of the V8 and use that one, I need a new arial so i'll...
