    FL2 2012 - 14 handbook

Mine came with no book but that was the least of the issues as it also only had one key (with a Range Rover cover?) and had an almost piratical history....allegedly it had been removed from a dealership by an employee and was only located after it went front n/s into a ditch and was damaged to...

You could try their Media Centre? They may hold the photo archives

    2014 Freelander Android Headunit?

I took mine up to 32 at one point when a track came on I wanted to sing along to (needed to be sure I was drowned out) but not done it again as when I went back to 10 I couldn't hear anything

FL2 TD4- Fed up paying £29.75 tax - any alternatives?

Exactly why I was allowed to buy one. My wife has a hybrid for her commuting (I walk to the 'man cave' at the side of the house for my commute) but when caravanning or glamping time of year hits the Freelander comes into it's own.

    Why won’t it sell

We tried selling the a small car which my eldest daughter learnt to drive in so nothing special (a Ford Fusion) and I filled out the form genuinely putting condition as 'Fair' etc since it was 8 years old and not showroom condition. They offered £800 but when they did their inspection it dropped...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Needed a service as we primarily use it as a tow car for the caravan going from Sussex to Scotland a couple of times a year and the next trip is coming up. The last trip saw us lose all brakes when a hose was cut by rubbing on the disc (I blame the mob I bought it from as it was the corner they...

Freelander 1 Idiot Driver damaged my sons FL1

I have just bookmarked that page as while I do not need it personally just now, sooner or later...

    Weird draft

Thanks for the suggestions (and laughs). Not that I am slow these days but the comment about alignment reminded me it was the front passenger corner that got rebuilt so I may have to get my laser pointer and check that the bits wot is meant to be straight actually are.

    Weird draft

My wife has decide that there is a 'howling gale' coming through the front passenger door and so even though I can detect nothing when I sat there and she took over the driving I guess I need to do something so that I can regain ownership of the driver's seat. I presume that the seals will be...

    Roof Rail Issues

That is weird...just checked the email and it is the other way round, the plastic 'Xmas tree' clip/fastener is the expensive one The stud is the 19mm bolt - lr043910 stud £1.39 inc vat Welcome by the way (I always forget that bit)

    Roof Rail Issues

Ah ha...One I can help with. They are really cheap from LR and looking at my receipt I now can't remember which bit was which. I bought 2 'bolts' and 2 of the plastic bits that push into them to hold the track I think the bolts are listed as Fasteners which are LLR001651 @£2.40 each and the...

    Parking sensors

In the manual??? Isn't that just Land Rover's opinion though? Mutter mutter RTFM That makes sense I guess as I am creeping forwards to avoid re-arranging the bricks although it would be good to have a permanent off-switch as the over-ride button only works until you switch off the engine...

    Parking sensors

Got something odd which I have been ignoring as I have mixed feelings about parking sensors but I should really ask. Where I park has a 7 foot high brick perimeter wall. The rear sensors work as I would expect where reversing into the space has them alerting and getting more frantic as I close...

    Caravan/trailer light check

Well that was disappointing...Obviously my FL2 is just the wrong level of sophistication as I can find nothing in the menu to trigger the light show. Would have been really useful as my regular co-pilot seems to think that standing directly behind the caravan is the perfect place to let me know...

Ah, the simple things in life

Sadly I don't know who did the original fitting although I do know who failed to notice some rather obvious missing parts. Their main stock in trade appears to be buying vehicles from Insurance auctions and tidying them up for resale so I am fairly sure they are not anyone on the forum would be...

Ah, the simple things in life

So after my huge success with replacing a headlamp bulb (any success is a win, right?) I moved onto something which is kind of cosmetic but has been annoying me, the roof rails. There is a clear gap on the centre and rear mounts both sides between the mounts and the roof which the garage that...

What have you done to your Freelander today

I am starting small (very small) but I do plan to work my way up to understanding what I can achieve and what needs to be left to professionals...Replaced the headlamp bulbs which turned out to be far simpler and less painful than I expected (even if Halfrauds managed to direct me to the wrong...

    Great start to the holiday

AA man spoke to a local colleague who recommended taking me to Lakeland car center in Kendal. We got there about 7pm using a rigid tow (NOT something I want to repeat) and as we dropped the key through the door the owner popped his head out of the workshop so we had a chat about it. They got...

    Great start to the holiday

Damn. Hose was not properly clipped in apparently and has been rubbing on the wheel until it separated. Unsurprisingly he has no spare
