Ok, I'm getting slightly more interested in the self spray idea. How much would the outlay be assuming I have nothing and could possibly borrow the compressor from the farm if I had to? Then I guess I would have to take the sunroof out and everything else off? I'll get new end caps I think...

Haha, not really. But from what I have seen lately with galv chassis defenders you either seem to get £5000 for an ok one, or £10k plus for a great looking one

Nope, they are all the same. The leather ones are all heated with electric drivers and the cloth ones are manual without heating. Mine are cloth as I didn't have aircon and didn't want to be sweaty, but as far as I have read the electric bit is pretty easy to do.

I used an app called maps.me. It worked really well for what we needed it for and had downloadable maps for all of the countries we traveled through. Oh, and it's free. If you have data just use google maps
