    LED bulbs upgrade.

I've put LED bulbs in a lot of cars I have had. The only problem is they don't take to being wet as well as normal bulbs. My side lights in my wipac crystal headlights are LED and it makes it look a lot more modern. Personally I don't see the problem with using them

That's always a good plan, my recommendation is in order to avoid an uncontrollable tool throwing rage, is not to bother!

    Seat swap options

The leather ones are a lot, but I found cloth ones a lot cheaper as no-one wants them. There is breaker in Melton Mowbray who will probably have some. PM me if you want his details

    Pedal Box Sound Proofing Sagging

I just used some impact adhesive, has stayed on there since. As far as I can tell it was glued out of the factory

    Chequer plate wing tops

I think they look better with them on. Use some galvanic corrosion inhibitor on the bolts though, as mine have reacted already and they haven't been on that long. I have the premium ones from Paddocks and the paint has already come off.

    Seat swap options

The battery in mine is quite far forward in my battery box, so if you slide the RX8 seats all the way back you can get to it. Not the perfect solution but a lot easier than taking the seats out. RX8 seats are really cheap (mine were £40 for cloth ones) and fit reasonably easily

Who said swapping door skins was easy??

Yeah, I removed everything in the end, was much easier then. Just couldn't bend the galvanised skins over. I think it would be OK with a press or a decent wooden hammer but I had neither and by that point I had already dented the skin

Who said swapping door skins was easy??

Just the doors, or all of the parts too? The doors were 330 each, then probably another 100 on locks, cards etc. I have no ideas how the lock mechanism goes back together, gonna be interesting...

Who said swapping door skins was easy??

I'll get some pics tomorrow. New doors are on and its ready for paint now. I'll be putting them up for sale, one skin is as new, the other one isn't so much. One frame is good, the other is average. I've also got two bottom repair sections for a rear door as I mucked up and ordered them by...

    Touch up or re spray?

Mine is going off for paint tomorrow. Ive stripped everything off and I've been quoted £600 or less for a full respray so your quote seems quite high. I've had quotes of £3k though

Who said swapping door skins was easy??

Seriously, don't go with the steel ones unless you have some kind of press. Unless you fancy buying mine... If I could set a steel door frame on fire I would do

Who said swapping door skins was easy??

Guide to skinning a door: 1) remove skin from old frame 2) get old frame welded 3) try to get galvanised steel to bend around new frame 4) make a bodge job really badly as the steel skins won't bend 5) drive to paddocks and buy two complete doors for £660 I give up

New Landy wanting a 90 or 110 defender any available sales or advise taken, bit clueless please help

Yep, as far as I can tell you get the side window kit from somewhere like Masai online and then it comes with a template that you get someone competent to cut the hole out and fit the window. I always fancied the Masai panoramic ones, but sadly my partner didn't agree! It is just the van at the...
