Have been meaning to check the dates in January, but 18th sounds perfect. Hopefully time to get the new winch bought and fitted, and sort my electrical gremlins. Will hopefully have another D2 with me and maybe a D1 as well.

Give those rear springs a clean and see if you can find a code/serial number etc

I would guess they're probably bearmach standard length HD springs. It would pretty odd if someone put +2 springs on the rear only.

Yeh I've been tempted by this mate, just worried I'll waste money and fail to repair it. Tinker time is very limited at the moment too. Will keep half an eye out for a bargain though

I'd love an 8274, but don't think I can justify even second hand prices. The trouble is the more I increase my budget the closer I am to getting the 35s I want and not getting a winch at all lol :D Although I could get the 35s and get a winch with the money from selling the 33s . . Argh. Too...

The Warrior winches are really very tempting, but I think the service and parts/upgrades available for the Goodwinch TDS are still winning at the moment. Plus it's the only one of these I've actually seen being abused and it was mighty impressive (well it was to me that doesn't know much about...
