Thats ugly! Even worse being white you know its bathroom sealant (which works very well on bathrooms) My Series 3 had the same between the internal panels, all removed and scraped off. Will be using some proper stuff going forward!

Thanks guys, anodised or plated makes a lot of sense. If only they were gold it would help with the rest of the build! Guess spraying them black would be acceptable then?

Hi I’ve cleaned up the seat runners on the S3 which had tarnished sections but wondering what the ‘coating’ is on the runners which has the slight goldish colour compared to the usual steel colour under it. Is this something that be bought or recoated? Thanks Simon

Thanks tottot, I’ve taken the exit fuel pipe from the lift pump off (that goes to the fuel filter) and when hand pumping / cranking, diesel comes out of the ‘spout’. Loosened off the injector nuts and diesel dribbles out of all 4 so seems fuel is getting to the engine block. Bit out of ideas...

Thanks Col, its gone to a specialist to figure it out now :-) probably for the best given the amount of sparks which came off the jump leads when connecting them! This one is for the experts now

Thank you. Guessed it was the starter motor but wasn’t too sure. Couldn’t tell if the smoke was coming from the motor itself or the wire. It didn’t turn over do maybe the starter motor is jammed?

Hi The lower front air dam spot/fog/driving lights on my 1992 RR Classic (Hard dash) do work for a second or two but then the fuse blows. It is the correct fuse rating for the slot but not sure why it keeps blowing. Its A6 in the dashboard fuse diagram. The spots are aftermarket but no damage...
