well i'v found out where my g/box is leaking from , its leaking from the selector shaft oil seal !! just got to source on of these and a rubber boot / bellows and its sorted again !!

looks like its leaking from the back of the box ! its not overfilled , after topping up it was left to drain level with the filler plug ! was thinking , if theres a breather , it might of become detached from the box . causing the leak .ie oil getting splashed about and coming out of the breather !

Hi , just topped up my gearbox oil and now appears to have a leak !! could anyone tell me if theres a breather on the pg1 manual box and its location ? when i topped it up it took more than 1/2 a litre !! wasnt leaking until i topped it up !! done a search but couldnt find anything !! thanks Alan

iv got two of the cheap ones fitted on the rear of mine and they seem to be working fine !

managed to get one near me so i'm going to fit it in the next couple of days and see if it does it again ! any ideas why it did this ?

Hi , wonder if this has popped up before ! 101230 mdulator , one of the two metal disks on the top of the modulator has domed and is leaking !! tried pushing the valve ? whats under the disk down and strightening the disk , but as soon as i press the brake pedal it domes and leaks again !! any...

your looking at a short somwhere !! how are they wired , series or parallel ?

check your fuel pump timing , mine was the same , a pig to start first thing !! also check your leak off pipes , these can go hard and let air into the fuel system ! Alan

just done mine , was a pain to start but now its first turn of the key ! changed leak off pipes while the engine cover was off , they had gone hard n was starting to perrish dont think they have ever been touched !!

success !!! got a part sensor harness , extended it to suit the route of the cabling i decided , spliced it into the multiplug and !! the lights went out !! so anybody who has got the 3 amigos on the early hippos with the two wire brake switch check your sensor wiring first before you start...

using the old ecu as it was tested with this and only showd up the fault with the nsr abs sensor , no signal , tested wiring which showed a broken cable replacing the cable SHOULD cure the problem ( i hope ) !

well , got the part of the harness that i needed, comes into the shell under the rear seats then travels under the sill finisher , dont know where it goes to from there as i cut it off as it goes under it , got some 5 amp cable going to solder and shrink wrap the joins and splice into main cable...
