Mine too had rubber mats over the top. These are now carefully placed on my driveway to collect drips of oil from the steering box, engine, gearbox.........:o

I'm sure it's standard fit in mine, they have mounting holes etc.

When the document arrive I'll have a look through to check. From what I've printed off so far there's no mention of the number of seats but they have all the other vehicle details. Surely with that they would know it was built and registered with the 12 seats it still has.

Approximately 36 litres of diluted upholstery cleaner through my carpet washer and the seats are now mud and crud free, or at least as far as I am prepared to go with them anyway. Tomorrow it's the carpets that are still in the car. I'm expecting to lose a day and the skin off my hands.

Having taken out all the seats this evening I now have to trace a leak I've discovered in the drivers footwell. There's also a slightly less serious one on the passengers side. The windscreen rubber is pretty much perished though in places so I reckon it may be that.

Well after weighing up all the pros and cons, plus the amount of terrible series Land Rovers I saw, I think being swayed over the the Defender was a good choice. I only have the one picture at the moment but more will follow on a dedicated thread in the Defender area.

Damn you all ;) I bought a defender 110 CSW. 1996 300tdi, a ton of miles, one owner and a few jobs needed. Nothing too bad, mainly little niggly jobs and a ruddy good clean. I'll update in the relevant section as soon as I've made a list of issues and some questions.
