    200 -> 300 tdi chassis differences

    As a long term lwb mk1 sprinter owner, I've had a lot of dealings with cold zinc spray and this is great advice, not all are equal :)

    200 -> 300 tdi chassis differences

    It was Shielder, they knew it was their mistake and they were willing to exchange it and pay the costs incurred, but I've already waited weeks to get to the stage of forklifting it off the delivery lorry so I asked about the differences and suggested the option of altering it here to save time...

    Dream Defenders

    This photo is how the hummer ev is laid out, it has two drive units front and rear and carries its ultimum battery pack built from modules inside a larger armored pack under the floor between the two, and is probably the best current production awd ev layout. GM invested a lot of money in it...

    Dream Defenders

    Heh, I bet you donned your asbestos undies before posting this thread. I'm in a small minority in that I like and own Landrovers but also have a small ev that the wife mostly uses for nipping to town and to keep the wear off more fun cars (Seat Mii) and its ok. But a 90? Kind of defeats the...

    200 -> 300 tdi chassis differences

    I was trying to get ahead of this ready for monday but the supplier has contact me out of hours today and told me that their platform is a common chassis with different engine mounts + crossmember between the two. They're sending me out a set of new engine mounts to suit the 200tdi + and the...

    200 -> 300 tdi chassis differences

    Hi all, What differences are there between the 200tdi and 300tdi chassis? I know about engine mounts, but is there other differences? I'm asking as I've been shipped the wrong chassis by a supplier, and I'm considering if its just the engine mounts to lop them off my original chassis and weld...

    RHD to LHD conversion

    I'm halfway though this job myself but on a older 2.5td 90, so you might have additional stuff because your model is later. You need a number of parts as mentioned, the steering box, irrc the rod the steering damper connects is handed, the dash but not the cluster/clocks/column, the handle for...

    90/ discovery front axle swapping

    Last update, its all sorted. Both axles had solid front discs in the end so it was just a caliper swap & retained the fasteners that matched the swivel housing casting thread. Fettling the rest of it now while I wait for the chassis supplier to get their act together still.

    90/ discovery front axle swapping

    Yes, I'll use the fastener that matches its pitch with the mating part thread. I didn't remember if in this case it screwed into the caliper, or if it screwed into the hub casting & both front axles haven't been broken down yet to refresh my memory but thanks for the warning. This weekends task...

    90/ discovery front axle swapping

    Thanks for those responses, the lhd and rhd axles between a identical year/model differ only in the swivel housing casting, as the steering lugs are handed. On one of atlantic british youtube video's about converting to lhd he mentions using the casting from the discovery on the 90 when...

    90/ discovery front axle swapping

    Looking for some input on something I'm trying to do. Backstory, I have a 90 that I've owned for 20 years that I'm finally rebuilding with a new chassis that I'm waiting for shipping notification hopefully today and because I have to replace brake lines/steering box etc while I'm doing this...

    90 and discovery steering box the same?

    I have now, same part number. Thanks! Although, now Im thinking for the price of a new one, why mess round with a s/h one.

    90 and discovery steering box the same?

    Does anyone know if the 90 and discovery steering box are the same? I have the chance at a lhd discovery steering box, and I was wondering if it was the same steering box as the unit on my 90.

    new 90 owner, few q's re oil pressure and fuel gauge

    Hi, I recently bought a 90 van fitted with the much maligned 2.5 td, Ive just drove it back from suffolk to france (where I live, will be re-registering it when the v5 shows up at my uk addy) and it seemed really well behaved apart from a couple of niggles, I got the speedo to 75 at one point...

    help

    Ok, I stand corrected if its not a fast acting IAC, however, I did change out that part and it cured all my idle problems. Thats not bloke in a pub told my mates brother stuff, its what I did. What is more I was put onto changing the piece by some other rangie classic owners who'd had idle...

    Oh yep, IAC = Idle air control, for a change a very descriptive name :)

    help

    For me first culprit is the IAC valve is stuck. Ive had it twice already and it gives these symptoms... Look at the motor and at the front just in front of the drivers side cylinder head is a alloy valve with two pipes going into it secured down with two 10mm headed m6 bolts (or were they...

    Louis Vuitton Rangie!

    Nothing wrong with that car that a yardbrush, a bucket of matt black paint, and some decent offroad tyres wont fix! Thats the real beauty, when all the city types get bored of rangies, they make great working vehicles and engine donors...

    Brake issues 87 classic

    Thats a relief, I was a bit "is it isnt it" over if the ecu knew about brake pressure or it was just the servo leaking when pressed, or maybe the servo leak is HOW it increases the rev's and thats design. As long as yours does it too Im ok with it and wont spend a day ripping the servo out the...
