Well on eBay if you look hard enough it seems like you can pick stuff up for defenders and series really really cheap! My friend has bought rear tubs for £10 bulkheads for £50 doors cheap etc etc so hoping between that and Newbury I can keep to a 1500 budget on the body itself.. Either way I was...

Bloody hell... Well my budget is more around £1500 lol! Lets hope I can do something reasonable with that! Looking at bulkheads wings tubs etc though for the defenders I think that's achievable! Might go a little over budget but at least I won't lose money on this, if I invested 2k into a disco...

I have been given the use of a workshop when I need it and a parking space in a secure yard! So hopefully this will be enough to get started :) All I can do is try!

Hi all as many of you may know I recently had some welding work carried out on my disco which ended up being a shambles and I lost some money, I have decided rather than pour lots of money into a disco which will keep rotting no matter what I do to take the body off and use the chassis engine...

No there isn't a receipt but what I did find the other day was a voicemail saying the landline number it came from him announcing his name and saying the welding has all be finished and he'll be dropping the land rover off Saturday :) so this may count for something?!

Just an update - I have been told he is a qualified welder and claims to have worked with metal all of his life etc I called him the other day to complain surprisingly his attitude from Saturday had changed however a refund is off the cards he "will come and have a look" to see if its stuff he...

hmmm thing is being self employed I realise how hard work can be sometimes but I do price work, sometimes you win sometimes you lose, I think maybe he felt he "lost out" if you want to run a successful business then customer service should be number 1 priority! I will see how far I can get...

he will a day after he dropped the vehicle off lol, especially if I am the only 'unhappy' customer he has had recently - this thread has almost made its way to the top of google anyway when you search 'mr mig farnborough'

lol I feel like a fool as I did plan to do the work myself but was strapped for time so i thought I'll get a professional to do it save me time and it'll be a good job! how wrong i was :(

pretty sure if he see's this feedback a tyre or two will be going flat on one of our vehicles
