No the brake light on the dash. Having had a rear brake failure, its the same light that comes on as when the handbrake is on. Except of handbrake of and it comes on, usually best to prepare for impact.... This time, it was just a cable stopping the handbrake completing its final location...

    Now WTF have I done

Sorted. It was a Homer Simpson DOOOH moment. I had also taken the Central console out, When refitting it, the usb charger cable had slipped under, and somehow tangled up with the handbrake cable. IT prevented the handbrake from going fully down, just a few mm, but enough to leave the brake...

    I'm huming....

I did the one wheel up test, also spell checked my last post. Makes a bit more sense. When I got her, tyres were mismatched, so that might have damaged the original diff. Just a bit ****ed the engineering works didn't notice the replacement diff needed something. Regretting not getting it...

I have those, but a lot of work. Ground the head off, then took the 2 screws out of the brake disk (They seemed non union, came out no effort). With head of bolt ground off, eased the dust shield out of the way, and slipped disk and caliper of as one unit. took a bit of hammering and wiggling...

    I'm huming....

I had done the wheel up test, and shes looking health for the VCU. I am leaning towards the hum being the rear diff. I only got it checked at the time, and new gaskets/seals fitted. The engineering works said itwas good to go as was. Offered to replace bearing etc and recondition it, but funds...

    Not my normal stomping ground

Not normally in this section, but have a defender question. Appreciate defenders of all ages have a large pricing variation, but what's the opinion on defenders that have had a completely different engine change. Would that reflect in price?. And are there considered good engine changes and...
