Hi Replaced but even the new cable, when pulled up, does not stop the transmission drum turning. I can adjust the drum and it locks, so that appears OK. The cable does not seem to pull on the link to the drum. Any more thoughts? Thanks

Morning all I am a spannering novice so pls excuse any stupidity. My 90's transmission brake is dreadful. I have been thru the whole process of tightening up the brake drum, releasing some of the tension etc to try to adjust it and I have also tightened the brake cable but without success...

Now a mended TDI. Just can't drive anywhere to check it is all sorted.

A broken 300TDI.

As always, plenty to do. No spannering experience so it is all fun and games. Currently have a broken rocker valve and duff hand brake. And leaking pipes. And leaking gaskets. and ....lots pf parts on order.

Hi again. So with a but of investigation all is revealed. One of the rocker arms has snapped.... Hi Things have moved on - snapped rocker valve! Pic in separate post. Just the rocker in No 7 (guessing as it was second from the bulkhead) was broken (would show video but I can't upload one)...

I think we hit the limit of my ability after the first post! What are the signs to look for? The oil breather pipe looked a little wet this PM but v difficult to look behind the engine.
