Excuse my ignorance, what's the HG please? I'm doing the alternator pulley, A/C pulley and tensioner. I can't find an idler pulley, the power steering pump seems fine and I'm not touching the crank pulley.

Evening All, The AC on my 10'plate TD4 is making a noise. The system still blows cold, engages and disengages on the button etc. I plan to replace the pulley/clutch before I start thinking about a new compressor. Also, I'm doing the aux belt, tensioner, alternator freewheel thingy so, makes...

I'll switch the front one to interior lights ;) I guess it does make sense that the boot socket is live, for cool boxes etc in foreign markets. I'll wire it in to the interior light, which is in the same panel as the cigar lighter. I don't know that it's a bad thing to leave the cams running...

Hi all, Just installed a pair of Nextbase 122 dash-cams, one front, one rear. I used a Nextbase hardwire kit on the front camera and the cigar lighter plug for the rear. Neither camera powers down automatically.... I'm sure every fuse in the box under the glove compartment isn't permanently live...

The damper itself is a really clever little unit. The combination of materials and fixing methods is quite smart. If I ever replace the shocks though, I'll be going without lol!

Surely the eat frames are the same though right? So I could strip the driver's seat and install something like this ebay item #313037008439....?

How important do you think it is that the rubber part is fixed to the ally sleave? Surely, as long as it fits snugly around the ally tube in the centre, it'll work....?

I'm thinking of buying some internally threaded ally rod and siliconing it back together with a new bolt. There aren't many about right now.

I just cut one of these vibration dampers off as some.clown had mounted it in the wrong hole and it had no clearance. HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT THEY'RE ASKING FOR THEM!? They're about £130 each! Might make one myself.
