Hydraulic pipe doesn't fit new clutch cylinder

So, having found the old favourite black sludge in the clutch master cylinder I decided to replace master and slave, so put in the order with Paddock. After my initial dismay at unexpectedly getting Britpart parts for both, I went ahead with the job anyway. The master went in fine, but I...

Starting Woes - new battery needed?

Also, check the wiring to the starter solenoid where the power cables all meet, make sure all ring tabs are clean and the nut is tight. Make sure to disconnect the battery first though! Mine was a right state when I got it, corroded tabs and a loose nut, but oddly started ok with a freshly...

Yet more tyre pressure confusion ...

There does seem to be a whole heap of threads on here regarding tyre pressures and related confusion! Is there any kind of rule-of-thumb for it, or is it really a case of trial and error? For me, I have Cooper Discoverer A/T3s on my 300TDI 110 - not by choice I hasten to add, they were on it...

    Key fob needs programming

So, nearly a year gone by already and I still haven't got round to doing this! Have to say though that the stuff online about using the Nanocom gear suggests it has to be plugged into the car, I presume via the diag port, but the vids I've seen seem to relate to fobs which work the central...

    Door & bonnet thefts?

Ok so supergluing ball bearings into the bolt heads is a great idea - as long as you never want to take the doors off yourself ever again!! Pappasmurf - who are the ones who do the secure bolts & hinges?

    Door & bonnet thefts?

Yep! Couldn't quite believe it myself, but even if they're not being stolen, it seems all you need to get into a Landy is a 50p allen key!!!

    Door & bonnet thefts?

There seems to have been a spate of door and bonnet thefts recently, with that of course leading to access to personal possessions inside etc, and I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this? It does seem like anyone passing by with an Allen key in their pocket could potentially do...

Actually, I think you (neilly) are right so maybe I won't bust a gut over it o_O

Can't post in For Sale section?

Lol right then, who wants to argue about this?? Apparently I have 27 posts to get!!

Can't post in For Sale section?

50 posts? Really? Ok I can see why allowing any old passer-by to sell would be frowned upon, but 50's a little excessive isn't it?

Can't post in For Sale section?

Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this so apologies if not! I want to put my 300TDI 110 up for sale but despite being a member, apparently I'm not allowed to? It says "(You have insufficient privileges to post here.), I have no idea why though. Can anyone assist me please?

    Interior light vs ACU?

You're not kidding, who put that ignition switch barrel in the way?!

    Interior light vs ACU?

Ok, my bad ..... Turns out the problem was entirely due to the offside passenger door switch, which was fully functional but just not being pressed in by the strange bracket thing that should have been screwed to the door but which had completely vanished! So, the 6-10min OFF time must be the...

    Key fob needs programming

Yep, tried the synchronising thing even though that's for a programmed fob. Sadly (and not unexpectedly) it didn't work. Hmm don't fancy a trousers-down experience with a dealer(!!) so I guess I'll be finding someone with a Nanocom wotsit then ...

    Interior light vs ACU?

Btw apologies Al2O3, I should have said the LEDs behaviour was normal for me, and the fact that it's behaviour changes with the door switch open and shut is a good indicator that it's not stuck, but hey I have nothing to compare it with so who knows?! How does yours behave?

    Interior light vs ACU?

Ok so here's a wierd thing. Conscious of the possibility I'm just being stupid, and having found a schematic which shows that the drivers door switch is not commoned with the others, I just went out to try something. I went, this time, not to the drivers door but to the passenger door, primarily...

    Interior light vs ACU?

With all due respect, I said that the dash LED works correctly, i.e. it flashes when the door is shut, lights constantly when the door is open, hence the door switch is ok. These door switches are complete rubbish even when brand new, but mine work. If they were to fail they'd most likely go...

    Interior light vs ACU?

I'm not sure, pressing the lock button makes a double toot on the horn, pressing the unlock button lights the indicators for a second or two? I don't know, I don't really use it, I have an immobiliser and a SafeTpedal cover plate and that's enough for me as I don't trust car alarms anyway!!

    Key fob needs programming

I have a spare set of keys for my '98 110 which has a second 2-button fob but this has not been programmed so I can't start the beast with them. How do I get this sorted out? Can the same places that program "normal" keys do it or is it a dealer thing?

    Interior light vs ACU?

My interior light comes on when you'd expect it to, except when set to (supposedly) being controlled by the door switches via the ACU, where it's on, permanently, unless you flick the switch on the light off. Fyi there is no circuit board behind the light, just 2 wires and a chassis earth. One...
