There’s various pictures in this thread but I didn’t do a separate thread for it. In hindsight I could have. i have loads of photos myself if there’s something you need to see.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

The bulkhead and door were like this when I started so frankly, it’s all a bonus.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

Made a second pair of anti crush tubes for the near side and silver soldered them into the frame to match the off side.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

Stripped the glass and skins from the door top today. It’s a lot lighter now :) Ordered a series door repair section from YTM as this will match the profile of the existing door. When it arrives I can cut and weld it to the bottom of the frame.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

Yes I think I’ll have to. I think my version will have more glass than a real one and therefore be heavier.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

Hi Lynall. That’s great thanks. There are some bits of info I’d really appreciate having, but it might involve a tape measure :-) 1. What’s the cross sectional dimensions of the hinge material? 2. What’s the position of the two bolts hole relative to the end of the hinge? 3. What’s the...

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

Cut the donor door in half this evening and offers it up to the hole. It’s currently about an inch too deep so I’ve got some fettling room. I also drew up a cat flap hinge in CAD. I’m certainly not going to pay £80 EACH!!! for a bit of bent bar.

    Sliding window screws.

For information, the small screws holding the channels together on the factory sliding windows are 6-32 x 1/4” UNC. Took me a while to work them out but they’re freely available on eBay. Might be useful to someone.

    Wiring wipac woes.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I bought all new Wipac holders and lenses, but I opted for old style bulbs for originality. Unfortunately, I’ve found them to be of fairly poor quality overall which is a shame. Still, some standard LR fettling later and they’re all working now. I’ve used some...

    Sliding window screws

Hi all just about to renovate my side sliding windows of a 110. Some of the screws in the frames are missing and I’m trying to identify the dimensions. I *think* they’re 6-32 x 1/4” UNC but can anyone confirm? Cheers, Jim

Does anyone ever go to Munich??

Hi all - big ask but I might as well put it out there. I’ve got a small lathe in bits on a pallet in Munich, but it’s going to cost me £££s to get it shipped. Does anyone ever go that way in a van or similar? Cheers.

    Wiring wipac woes.

So other than the Wipac ones, is there a good alternative for non led replacements? My originals were all rusted to buggery and had to be swapped out but I want the original look. Are there any other alternatives?

    Binnacle mount replacement

It really is the biggest problem with plastics, and I’m happy to have found the right glue straight out of the gate. The binnacle is all back together now and feels really solid. Using the broken rear mount for the repairs sections has kept the material the same both in looks and for glueing...

    Re-trimming Early Seats

I had the same dilemma as you, with the same plastic back seats. I’m the end I bought a second hand pair of the newer style in better nick than mine, knowing I could get retrim kits down the line. The problem I encountered with this is that the older seat frames have a different mount than the...

    Binnacle mount replacement

Fitted the SP mount and all is good. It’s high quality and fitted with no worries. I then used the plastic form the old mount to repair the cracked and/or missing mounting points on the binnacle and it went very well. Plumbers PVC waste cement is the perfect glue for this kind of plastic and I...
