    Disco 2 ECU waterproofing

Suppose it depends how heavy your truck is.

    Disco 2 ECU waterproofing

Yeah I can’t find any. Plenty of Defender ones but no Disco autos.

    Disco 2 ECU waterproofing

I’m sure this has been covered before, but I wanted upto date info. I’m fitting a snorkel at some point, but what’s the point if my ECU isn’t waterproof. So what have people done to waterproof their ECUs. As I understand it I can’t move it, I have an auto and from what I’ve heard the relocation...

    D2 Adeventures

I don’t know if this is allowed, delete if not. But I have started a small Greenlaning group based mainly in Yorkshire, but we have a guy in Derby. It’s not entirely a LR group, we have my Disco 2, a FL1 and two new Jimnys. So far. But I have started a YouTube channel to record my D2s...

    Disco 2 Colour matching

Has anyone colour matched the black plastic bits of their D2 facelift, ie Bumpers, Wing mirrors, wheel arches and grille? Pics would be nice. also I understand there’s a Range Rover grille that fits. Is it easy to fit and do you have pics? Paul

Drive in 200tdi conversion south west

The 200tdi runs pretty cool anyway. I ran for a few weeks without a working fan and never over heated. The thermostat is always a good place to start, for a new one to be safe. Then fit a new sender, again, might as well.

Drive in 200tdi conversion south west

Well if it worked before and you’ve used the old loom, then either the sender is knackered or the thermostat is stuck. But if I was you I be making sure the engine isn’t over heating. Have you checked your oil?

Drive in 200tdi conversion south west

Ah I hadn’t realised it was a Defender engine, I thought you’d have done the usual Disco engine conversion. Check you thermostat.

Have you changed the temp sender? You need the Disco unit rather than the Defender unit.

Disco 1 Disco 1 wheel and tire options.

I would prefer standard height suspension with taller tires.

Disco 1 Disco 1 wheel and tire options.

Nice looks good. I could use different offset alloys, but I like the boosts.

Disco 1 Disco 1 wheel and tire options.

Yeah I meant wheel spacers, fill the arches out more. You get a good set and their fine.

Nice, looks good with the boosts. I wonder if spacers would also work.

Looking after your battery during self isolation

We drive Land Rovers, we don’t exactly have the environments best interest at heart.

Looking after your battery during self isolation

It’s easy to keep your battery going. Use it. Self isolation doesn’t mean you can’t start your engine everyday and run it up to temperature. Even a little run is acceptable. After all, you are isolated in your car.

Disco 1 Disco 1 wheel and tire options.

I’m doing a bit of speculating for a future project. I have a vision of a Disco 1 V8, completely standard on the outside, including standard bumpers, but with wheel arch extensions if needed. So what size alloys and AT tires could I fit, not going any higher than a 2 inch lift. I like the idea...

It’s the price of those that put me off. 5 of them is a HUGE investment.

Any fitted Maxxis Bravo AT 771 tires onto their Discos? Thoughts, opinions, reviews?

    Insulation??!

That’s the kind of stuff I used. It doesn’t make a huge difference, it does cut down on some of the tinyness and harmonics, but you still get all the outside noises, and when used on the bulkhead, you still get all the engine and gearbox noises. However, the combination of closed cell foam...
