Well, it was as expected really .. some problems, but could be worse.. Rear suspension fluid leak.. they said £1k minimum.. Brake line corrosion.. same £ again. I’ll be contacting a local independent garage tomorrow; hopefully get a decent quote. I’ll also try Evans Halshaw on the 3-month...

I only really noticed when I was leaving. It’s very frosty (no snow) here; wondered if that was the reason?

Had my RRS’s 165 inspection today at a dealership. Most of the new vehicles (mostly Disco Sports) were parked in the low setting. Any reason for that? (Go easy on me, gold_rover!!)

Cheers, I certainly will. I’ve already watched a couple of mind-bogglers - incredible vehicles! Until I saw those, I don’t think I really understood what off-roading was about.. I now feel obligated to challenge this machine for all it’s worth!

Thanks for the (mostly) great feedback everyone! The news is.. I collected it (the trim was repaired), I drove it home for 80 miles... and it was terrific. What a machine. All I had hoped for.. (Now I’ve just got to figure out those traction settings, but I’m hoping you lot’ll help me )...

Yeah, you’re right. Like so many others, I’ve had some awful experiences with dealer aftersales so I think half of my feeling of dread comes from that. It will be fine, of course it will. I’m being silly! The car’s got a full LR service history It’ll be perfect I’m sure. I’ll report back this...

Howdo, Just joined Landyzone after buying a 2012 RRS.. my first LR.. Haven’t picked it up yet but I’m at once excited and terrified! Full LR history (50k miles), SDV6 HSE.. I’ve already set aside a dedicated, empty credit card :) (Won’t be empty for long by the sounds of it!) Looking forward to...
