    Well, all sorted now and fitted....biggest pain was gettting the PAS/Crank belt on and off with limited tools in a car park....! Hope I didnt fry the Head when I drove it that 1 mile to get it off the road last night..the water was mighty hot, but the gauge didnt move much.... Thanks for all the...

    Well, all sorted now and fitted....biggest pain was gettting the PAS/Crank belt on and off with limited tools in a car park....!     I am confused after searching whether my 200tdi (defender version) has the right belts....I have posted in the General Land Rover section recently by current situaton. i.e. broken belt to alternator, crank, water pump....long belt....and the other belt is crank to PAS....short belt! However...

    My ignorance shows again MHM, I do not require the LZIR as I caught a taxi....am thinking the belt must be in stock in local Land rover stealer so will use the wifes car tomorrow to go and fetch one Thanks for the thought however. I just need to search LZ on the procedure to fit the damn thing...

    I hope not......I drove it 1/2 mile to a private car park...somewhere out of the way anyway!.....I hope I havent cooked it doing that :eek: Need to find the correct belt somewhere in Harrogate tomorrow! If anyone has one I will pay cash or replace when I get chance?? BTW it is a defender...

    Mine slightly different l. Long belt to pas and alternator and is long. Short belt has only PAS. Can I do 10 miles without water pump?
