2012 Range rover sport. Bought my RR sport with no trailer electrics fitted, do i need a OEM wiring harness and reprogramming, or,,, can i buy a 7 pin plug off Ebay and connect direct from the rear light harness? I know i should really get the OEM but im in rural France so a little difficult

Hi all, quick update, so all went well for 4 weeks after installing the service kit for the compressor, HOWEVER! lol the pump failed again after 4 weeks, once i stripped it down again i found that the silver plunger at the end of the filter housing was sticking, when i recived the service...

Ive put the old back in it just for the test, it was still solid and most of the "caked" area was in the pump head end of the filter (which i thought was strange) but it did look like errosion more than powdered desiccant so maybe id had a water leak on the pump maybe, i did have to do some...

Update..... put the newly cleaned compressor back on the vehicle, started up and watched the gallery PSI pressurise to 220 psi then a woosh and dropped back to 38psi, i checked the compressor which was quite hot! so gave it 5 mins then restarted the vehicle, the pump ran for 30 seconds then...

So I have just finished cleaning the compressor and drier, it was in a state but now its gleaming, stripped it completely down including the motor, bushes all good and no probs with the windings etc, (inside motor was gleaming), ive bench tested it and had to fight to keep my finger over...

Right Guys, so the pump is off and ive taken the air drier filter off and the following was found, "see pictures"

Hi Brian, yes tried both directions, its the same as a ducato fuel filter quickfit, and that pushes away from the pipe and it releases, maybe this is just so stuck! i managed to unscrew the metal pipe out of the pump body so will address at a later stage, Thanks for your input Brian,

Ok guys im back on it, got all the connectors and electrics off the pump except for the following grey connector which i cant work out how to dissconnect? im sure ive done them before but i dont want to risk breaking anything at this stage! help please

Yep im going to take the compressor out tomorrow between thunder showers! get the re build kit ordered and take it from there. just a quick question, which fuses/relays should i pull if its going to be stood there for a while without a pump fitted? and maybe this would also be a good time...

So, i have just checked the compressor pressure, i can hold my finger over the pipe no problem and when i release there is a swish of air, but it certianly isnt enough pressure for me not to be able to block off the flow, i checked the wires from the big brass nut on the valve block and there...

I can bypass relay F7 to make the pump run continuous, and do a thumb test? which pipe is the outlet on the AMK? sorry no wiring diagrams or manuals. Lee

Ok here we go..... this is all when the compressor is running Reservoir valve 100% open exhaust valve 0% Front cross link valve 0% rear cross link valve 0% pressure sensor Voltage 0.98 V isolation switch 12.25 V

it lists valve corners, ill go test again and watch these but at present all closed 100%

There are other readings but to get the Gallery reading i needed to switch the car off and back on again to get the pump to activate and watch the gallery reading,
