    90 rear door

super thanks. Was there much difference between the series / early defender and the mid defender door? Apparently on paddocks the 2007 is the early defender / series and the 3007 is up to 2001 - but they kind of look the same? just 1 set of holes missing for the centre hinge I believe they put...

    90 rear door

Hi all, I'm looking to do a conversion form truck to van - and am looking to buy a new rear door. Obviously the Landy doesn't have any hardware currently, so I wanted to know what the difference is between the different doors. I've been looking at paddocks and they have 2 models - 2007 and...

    90 TD5 - kangarooing...

Will give it a try. Would a worn drive member cause a “clunk / Crack” when coming off the accelerator?

    90 TD5 - kangarooing...

MAF has been unplugged with all the above trial and error work... Clutch switch... where would that be? - and don't say clutch!!! I didn't know it had one.... I was wondering if it could be the drive shafts / hub splines (no idea of the name) or diffs? thoughts

    90 TD5 - kangarooing...

Hi all, So I have a bit of a problem when setting off, with kangarooing in first, I think I have narrowed down the options to transmission, but wanted to canvas option... So History: The Landy has been remapped by alive, and this is when the problem become more apparent... I think the increase...

    R380 gearbox - what oil

Thanks all, I think I’ll try the mtf94 and see if it makes a difference. Reading up the oil I put in says it’s compatible/ equal to 94, so at least I can compare. all advice greatly appreciated.

    R380 gearbox - what oil

super thank you! will give it a try, worth it for a few quid! 2.4l capacity? Whilst we are on oils - I put 75w90 GL5 fully syn in the diffs - is this ok? or any thoughts...

    Intermittent fault - Def 90 td5 p10

Think I might have found the problem, the blue "jumper" block on the black loom was corroded, so these wires were cut by a mechanic friend of mine and soldered together and heat wrapped up - after "fiddling" I think I have identified the white and purple wires hadn't soldered well and look to be...

    R380 gearbox - what oil

Thanks, mine is 2nd to 3rd that I'm getting the graunch! so wondering if its worth trying the MTF to see if it helps. Double checked the oil that's in and its 75w-80 GL5 semi - it is recommended by the oil supplier for the box... what brands good for the MTF?

    R380 gearbox - what oil

Hi all, I replaced all oils on the landy 90. TD5 p10 , gear box I used 75w-90 as recommended by the local factors... but changing to 3rd seems to have a little "crunch" when warmed up... only slight and with a slow change and engine speed its fine... Read that the box should be using MTF94 -...

    Intermittent fault - Def 90 td5 p10

Yes, so as I said is purely calculated by the data from the aap and map... obviously the Ecu needs to calculate this as is a combination of the 2. on the obd2 a sorry I meant to say isn’t reliable. The Delphi software does have all the correct info for the defender, what makes it not compliant...

    Intermittent fault - Def 90 td5 p10

Ok so to recap the above: -Boost is pure measured by the aap and map - if over boost or pressure is exceed at the map then engine will go to limp mode... by which you mean anti stall. Will this trigger the engine light? This is a key question, as when the problem occurs it does. obd2 reader -...

    Intermittent fault - Def 90 td5 p10

Super thanks, I’m not questioning it too much as I also read that engine light on and engine goes to anti stall then it’s probably tps... but the formula are full of contradicting info so it was good to hear your view. I can’t see how the Ecu could detect a overboost anyway as there is no...

    Intermittent fault - Def 90 td5 p10

Good to know on all fronts, thank you. TPS and cps, light only come on, i don’t mean to question, but is this 100 accurate, I had read a few posts about over boost, where engine light comes on? just want to check as it then narrows this right down.
