If your nuts start roundin` off ??

spark erosion? although it'll probably be cheaper to buy a new caliper!

If your nuts start roundin` off ??

If the irwin shifters didn't do it though I doubt an open ended spanner will!

If your nuts start roundin` off ??

Can you weld a nut onto the head of the bolt? the heat from welding will probably help shock it free too.

Torque converter taking a while to lock up properly

Close with your description of how to, but leave the engine running to check. The oil is ATF - red and thin!

Torque converter taking a while to lock up properly

The torque convertor is inside the gearbox and uses the same oil - when you do an oil change half of the oil is stuck in the TC after the oil is dumped.

Fook me - I've had mine 2 years and not cleaned it that many times!

Torque converter taking a while to lock up properly

Torque converter taking a while to lock up properly

Exactly the same symtoms mate, although mine is quite rare... for now! I'm not sure of the exact mechanism other than it's oil pressure that locks it up (i was after trying to add an overdrive button but the ZF box can't do this), whether the pilot circuit is blocking/leaking or if the actual...

Torque converter taking a while to lock up properly

I know what you're on about mate... don't think its supposed to do it - i put it down to a 110k gearbox! On the odd occasion when it happens to me (tends to be when it 'rolls' above 52mph rather than 'giving it some'!) i find selecting 3 then back to d cures it. I'd be interested to know if...

    rotten body = no mot

Where was the excessive corrosion? Sills, boot floors and rear body mounts are all quite easy to weld up

    no brakes

Don't bother looking for it mate... your 200tdi doesn't give a shi'ite what ration your TB is in! If it's just at low revs, it does sound like it could be a vacuum issue. What does the pedal feel like when you have no brakes?

    no brakes

going down hills... A. You shouldn't be touching the brakes - PERIOD B. Fluid level checked recently by any chance?

    Alloy Wheel Centre Cap Removal?

You're right... ...although if they're anything like the doors on freelanders, just get them wet and they'll fall off! :D
