Split turbo hose? Have you noticed any loss in power?

    Fitting steering guard

 So you'd sooner fit ****part than refit a perfectly reusable OEM spec nut!

    Fitting steering guard

errr... a length of fuel hose or a cotter pin - yes but a specific toleranced nut that holds your steering mechanism to the chassis -NO Unless you can get a OEM replacement (which i suspect may be tricky and costly) just reuse the original part. Did you only use your lego bricks once when...

    Antenna Splitter

I thought tuned length was more relevant to transmitting rather than recieving though?

    Fitting steering guard

And I'd be worried if there wasn't already a nut on that bolt! :o

is it possible to add BASS to a standard system ?

More important would be the question of the impedance of the standard woofers... personally @ £9 a piece I'd bang some in and see what happens - 75W Max should be plenty I'd have thought

    Rear Step

Leave it off anyway, it just traps crap and causes rust above it - which happens to be your rear body mount! Chances are, if you find one in a scrappy you'll still need a refurb kit too.

    Discovery Sill Replacement

seconded! Looking good there Paul. This was my plan for the summer, however the MOT last month meant it needed doing whilst I'd be laying on 6" of snow! Needless to say - it ended up going to someone who had a workshop and a good amount of welding skill... Cost me £125 for him to strip and...

is it possible to add BASS to a standard system ?

Am I the only person who finds the rear door sub more than adequate - to the point which standing behind the car you can hear the number plate vibrating due to the bass! Granted I have a non-standard Head unit and rigged the sub input to the RCA Sub-specific pre-out, but the OEM head unit could...

    tree sliders..

You mean the self drilling things? If i've got the right end of the stick in thinking you've cut away the original sill and replaced it with a box section rock/tree slider, then you'll need to weld it... having said that :nopics:

    Defenders with kids?

That was what worried me more... If you can't control a small car, you'll kill some poor bugger piloting a 2 Ton tractor. Disco would be a better bet - 2.5-3k would buy you a mint D1!

    Disco cold starting

Quoted as 590A, so that should be ok - even with the second battery connected (1180CCA in effect) it's still sluggish for a few turns then speeds up and fires on the second fast revolution... I've given it 3-4 glow cycles before now - 30 second bursts turning key all the way off in between -...

    Disco cold starting

Already replaced all my earths and added the other strap to the block... :( That's two of us with EDC then - I wonder if it may be something weird happening with that?

    Disco cold starting

I have the same issue - 99% of the time starts absolutely fine, but when really cold the first start of the day is an arse... I just drop a jump on it to save draining the main battery too much. I've replaced all the earths, glow plugs, tried a new battery, replaced leak off pipes, fitted a new...
