    Changing cambelt tensioner

£30 for the bit and 10mins work to swap... You want a 2' breaker bar and 15mm(IIRC) socket - pull the tensioner back with the breaker bar and slide the belt from under the tensioner wheel then remove and replace the tensioner (one nut as you say) and refit the belt -done

    Miles per gallon

And I have 3 spare oil filters as I chuck the air filters every 6 months but it's not worth dropping the oil at that time, fuel filter is easy enough though so that gets stuck on, plus I carry a spare. At that price - why not!

    Miles per gallon

97 (P) 300 Auto - over the 2 years I've been driving the auto, I've experienced the following... Standard trim but egr blanked, decatted and fan off - average mpg ~24mpg if driving 'carefully', ~20mpg when driven faster than it wants to go. Best mpg was a long motorway stint at 60mph - 27.8mpg...

    Fookin son of a biatch!!!

I'd tell em to sort it theirselves as well... he must have been far too close to you if you pushed back into him, I dare say the astra did run into you and the driver is probably fearful of his job if he admitted it!

    Disco Door springs How-to...

Yup, don't think they are available as a genuine LR part - they just want you to buy a full latch mechanism!

    Split charge systems

My idea for a circuit would be a nice simple voltage divider (1x micro pot for fine tuning) to disconnect the battery link at ~11.7V unless override is manually activated. Simple but effective, timer would not always be optimal.

    Split charge systems

Surely you can just put a switch/button in to put a direct 12v feed onto your control relay, then in turn will close your solenoid.

    battery for DISCO

The oil cooler is just like a radiator for your gearbox oil, in your gearbox there is a oil pump and that pushes the oil around a circuit, part of which is the cooler. Given that the fault only occurs in reverse, are we possibly looking for a gearbox fault? Or could it be electrical and some...

    Warning!!!! Paddocks rip off

Ditto - I always seem to get stuck behind someone who (from the list of parts they're ordering) seems to be building a brand new land rover in kit form! Only issue I have personal experience of was my mates snorkel for his 300 90, opened the box and found a lhs wing connector - in fairness it...

    Hot tubs on a budget

An old work colleague did something similar actually! He started off with the pool and an electric heater built for it but found it barely warmed the pool, so then added another. This made the pool bearable but cost a fortune to run! He sank the pool half into the ground with a layer of...
