What did you do with your Range Rover today

Had a new rear screen fitted as the heater elements mostly didn't work and the rear wiper had done a fair bit of damage to it. Not at all thrilled to find the spoiler resting on the roof without so much as a cloth to protect the paint or the ivory parcel shelf being used as a work bench even...

Disco 4 (LR4) Fuel guage issue

I'm looking for a bit more help here please. We've had another crack at it this weekend and we're still no closer to finding the fault but perhaps understand it a little better, so, here's the current situation. Drained the tank down and removed it. Done a continuity check across the wires...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Our 2013 D4 has an AGM battery from the factory and is coded as such. My 2011 4.4 TDV8 vogue also has an AGM battery and that is correct too but my 2010 3.6 didn't, that was a normal lead-acid battery. I would suggest that you have now fitted the wrong type of battery to the Discovery, put the...

Make sure you replaced it with an AGM battery and you updated/reset the BMS

L322 stuck in park and handbrake stuck! Coolant Tanks also?

I think you'll find there is a handbrake release in the boot, pull the right side trim out to expose the rear fusebox and look in towards the front of the car near the top of the wheel well. There's the emergency filler cap release with a plastic handle (I think) and the handbrake one also...

    Speedometer in km/h

Change the fuel computer to L/100km and a KM/H speedo appears in the bottom of the speedo. It's in the handbook. I've coded the MPH one input mine full time but you can see where it is here

In the south east there's nothing but sunshine and lollipops. Nope. It's wetter than an otter's pocket and still raining.

    Front wheel bearings

I bought a cheapie in a hurry and it's been fine for a while but no doubt will not last the test of time. That said, they're so easy to fit I don't mind doing that job twice for the sake of getting the car back on the road quickly.

    L322 L322 M62 Cabin heating issues

I did that valve on my 3.6 TDV8 and it was SO MUCH FUN to access. Although it was knackered, I still didn't get any heat as it was the single one that diverts the coolant to the Webasto heater that was the actual cause so that's one to watch. As the OP has the M62, I guess it's unlikely...

    L320 rear bushes

Lucas EGR cleaner softens the carbon around the injectors, I made a slide hammer using an old wheel nut (M14 I think). Typically the ones that you can get a straight pull on don't fight you, its the ones at the hottest point at the back of the V that put up the biggest fight and of course they...

Disco 4 (LR4) Fuel guage issue

So basically, I'm dropping the fuel tank then. Yeah, I really do NOT want to do that and most notably because it has at leat 75l of fuel in it and I'm saying that because I know it has a smaller tank than my L322 which is 100l but this bugger is still full and there's no getting away from that...

Disco 4 (LR4) Fuel guage issue

It does start mate but it does all the things that Graculus suggests is specific to the L322. I'll see if I can find the fuel level reset in Gap. I'll let you know.

Disco 4 (LR4) Fuel guage issue

Reviving an old thread here but @Graculus and @biketeacherdave, I'm hoping I can benefit from your experience here. I've been in an absolute fight with my brother's L320 (2010 TDV6) over the hand brake module etc. and having finally got all that working and all the rusty bits replaced, it...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Only to Boulogne and Le Touquet just for one night this time (not straying too far with a Range Rover :), nah, I'd drive it anywhere in honesty). The Nausicaa aquarium is really cool and the kids haven't been (although my wife loves it there so we've been a few times). As she's at a Butlins...

    Parking Break

Just been through this job recently and I can tell you that it is sometimes possible to get the cables out without a diagnostic. Basically ours won't talk to the handbrake module for whatever reason but it does operate on the switch (it's under investigation) so what we had to do was turn on...

    What L322 to avoid?

I'd agree Kermit. Although it is at the risk of sounding jealous. The L405 is really growing on me, I love the back of it, not madly keen on the front still and I do like the inside but there's something about the L322 interior that is more homely(?). The L405 is a very modern looking car...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I used my L322 to recover my brother's L320. That thing is fighting us at every turn and it's getting a bit tedious now. Parking brake module died - ball ache! Shoes and back plates knackered -have to press out the drive flange - Ball ache! On the nearside the top bush was seized, had to...

    What L322 to avoid?

Both of mine had DAB, I thought it was standard. I don't want digital quality adverts in my life so I don't use it. Paid just over £7k for my 2011 and that was from a dealer as a 'trade sale' because it was in need of a lot of work. Most of the mechanical stuff is done now and I do love it...

    L320 Sport Diagnostic tools

I have GapIID and iCarSoft. I use Gap ALWAYS on our Land Rovers. iCarSoft is good, I have the CR Max BT so it works with most vehicles but Gap is definitely my go-to for LR. Remember, you can also add keys and features with Gap if you want to like tow-bar wiring and PDC deactivation or...

    L322 Turbo Actuator stuck?

Have a read of this lot mate, I've been through it a couple of times now, twice with the TDV8s and once with a Discovery 4 SDV6. The TDV8 manifolds you can bond back together, the V6 you can't so that's yet another reason to have the V8...
